Something I've been wondering lately is how many people here actually keep detailed records of their bets.
For a long time, I relied on memory. I knew roughly whether I was up or down, but I wasn't tracking things like stake size, odds, sport, ROI, or even why I made certain bets.
Once I started logging everything, I noticed patterns I would have otherwise missed. Some leagues were consistently profitable, while others were draining my bankroll. I also realized I was increasing my stake after winning streaks more often than I thought.
Since then, I've become much more disciplined. I don't think tracking bets magically makes you a better bettor, but it definitely helps you make more objective decisions instead of relying on gut feelings.
While looking for ways to improve my record-keeping and bankroll management, I found
this guide that goes into staking strategies, bankroll planning, and even discusses when hedging can make sense. It was a worthwhile read and reinforced a few habits I've been trying to build.
I'm curious how everyone else approaches this.
Do you track every bet or only your bigger wagers?
What statistics do you pay the most attention to?
Has reviewing your betting history ever changed the way you bet?
